Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information OneBlockStudio (“we,” “us”) collects when you use our community app and website (the “Service”), how we use and share it, and the choices you have. The Service is for legal U.S. residents who are 18 or older. By using it you agree to this Policy and to our Terms & Conditions.
1Who we are
OneBlockStudio, 4425 W Airport Fwy, Suite 236, Irving, TX 75062, operates the Service and controls the information described here. We are an independent business. The Service is not sponsored or endorsed by any social-media platform, device maker, or brand referenced in it.
2Information you give us
- Phone number (required) — your account identifier and sign-in. We send a one-time code to verify it. U.S. mobile numbers only.
- Name (required) — shown publicly on your profile and the community leaderboard.
- Email (optional) — so we can reach you about your account and rewards. You can also sign in with Google or Microsoft, which shares your name and email with us; a phone code is still required.
- Age & residency confirmation — that you are 18+ and a U.S. resident, and your agreement to our Terms, recorded when you sign up.
- Profile & activity — the city or region you select, an optional avatar photo, and the participation and Tola reward points you earn and spend.
- Messages & media you send — community-chat posts, private support messages to us, and any photos you attach.
- Delivery details— if you redeem a physical reward for delivery, the shipping name, address, and phone you provide (see Section 9).
3Information we collect automatically
- Usage & device data — basic activity in the Service (screens viewed, actions taken) and standard device and connection information, used to operate and improve it.
- Push notification token — if you allow notifications, your device is issued a push token that we store to send you alerts. You can turn notifications off in your device settings.
- Phone line type — to prevent fraud and abuse we may check your number against a carrier lookup service and store the resulting line type (for example, mobile vs. internet-calling) and carrier name. This is used only for account-integrity checks.
- Analytics & advertising signals— see Section 7.
4What we do NOT store here
- Tax IDs (SSN/ITIN).If a reward you redeem requires U.S. tax reporting, we collect a W-9 through a separate, access-controlled system — never in this app's database, and never by chat, text, or email.
- Card numbers.Any payments (for example, optional paid shipping) are handled by our payment processor's hosted checkout; your full card details never touch our servers.
5How we use your information
- Operate the Service — accounts, sign-in, participation, rewards, Tola, leaderboards, and community features.
- Verify your identity and secure accounts (one-time codes; fraud and abuse prevention).
- Contact you about your account, the community, and rewards you redeem.
- Fulfill rewards you redeem, including delivery where you choose it.
- Provide support. Messages you send us may be processed by a third-party AI service to help our staff draft a reply; a person reviews and sends every reply.
- Meet legal and tax obligations — some rewards may be taxable, and where required by law we collect a W-9 and issue an IRS Form 1099. Providing tax information is only required to redeem certain rewards, not to earn or hold Tola.
- Measure and promote the Service through analytics and advertising, subject to your choices (Section 7).
6Text messages (SMS)
- When you sign up you agree to receive text messages from us, including a verification code and messages about your account and rewards. Message and data rates may apply; message frequency varies.
- You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any text; we will stop sending. Reply START to opt back in. Opting out of texts does not delete your account.
- We do not sell your phone number, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. Text-messaging opt-in and consent are not shared with any third parties.
7Analytics & advertising
- We use analytics and advertising tools — which may include the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, Google Analytics, and Google Ads — to understand how the Service is used and to promote it.
- For signed-in users, we may share a one-way hashed (scrambled) version of your email and/or phone numberwith Meta so our advertising reaches the right audiences. We do not send your raw email or phone to these tools, and logged-out visitors are not identified this way. Under California law (CCPA/CPRA), this hashed matching may be considered “sharing.”
- Your choice: use the “Do Not Sell or Share My Information” control — right here, or in the app — to turn this off. It applies to this site and the app together. We also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal — if your browser sends it, we do not load these advertising tools.
- We do not sell your personal information for money.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
Turn off advertising and analytics pixels on this device, across oneblockstudio.com and the app.
8Photos & media
- You may add an avatar photo, which appears publicly on your profile, and you may attach photos to messages you send in community chat or support.
- Media is reviewed by a person where review applies. We do not use facial-recognition or other biometric technology on your photos.
- Photos you upload may keep their original file metadata, which can include location (EXIF/GPS) — remove it yourself before uploading if you do not want it shared.
9How we share information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only as follows:
- Service providers that run parts of the Service on our behalf, limited to what they need: text messaging and phone verification (Twilio), sign-in with Google or Microsoft (when you choose it), media and photo storage (Microsoft Azure), live audio rooms (100ms), shipping labels for deliveries you request (EasyPost — the destination address you provide), payment hosted checkout for optional paid shipping (Stripe), AI drafting of support replies (Anthropic), chat GIF search (Klipy), and push notifications (Apple Push Notification service).
- Advertising & analytics tools, as described in Section 7 and subject to your choices.
- Public parts of the Service — your name, avatar, and public stats appear on your profile and the leaderboard.
- Legal, safety & business transfers— to comply with the law, enforce our Terms, protect people's safety and rights, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
10How long we keep information
- We keep account and activity information for as long as your account is active and as needed to operate the Service and meet legal obligations.
- Verification codes expire within minutes; internal activity logs are kept about 30 days.
- Messages and photos are kept until you or we delete them. When we remove a message, its attached photo is deleted. Delivery addresses are removed on request once an order is complete.
- Records we must keep for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention reasons are retained as required.
11Your choices & rights
- Texts: reply STOP to opt out at any time (Section 6).
- Advertising: use “Do Not Sell or Share My Information,” or send GPC (Section 7).
- Profile: edit your name, avatar, email, and other details in the app.
- Delete your account: in the OneBlockStudio app, open You from the bottom navigation and choose Delete my account. Your account is closed permanently: you are signed out everywhere and cannot sign back in. Some records tied to the phone number you signed up with are retained where we are required to keep them, which also means that number cannot be used to join again. On the website, or to request erasure, contact us (Section 15).
- Access: you may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you by contacting us. We will verify your request and respond as required by law. Depending on where you live (for example, California), you may have additional rights, and we will not discriminate against you for using them.
12How we protect information
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards — encryption in transit, access controls, and separation of sensitive records (for example, tax documents are kept in a separate, access-controlled system, not in the app). No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13Children
The Service is only for adults 18 and older who live in the United States. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and we do not direct the Service to children. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it and close the account. If you believe a minor has used the Service, contact us (Section 15).
14Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date below and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the updated Policy.
